Scoala Cu Clasele I-VIII, Crucea (Romania)

Our school has 276 students with ages between 3 and 14 years old. A part of them come to school by school- bus from the villages around the municipality. We have three kinder garden groups, five primary classes and five classes on secondary level. The teachers who work in our school are qualified and well trained.
The Crucea village is situated in a rural zone, away from important cities, in the Northern part of The Oriental Carpathians Mountains. The children who attend our courses come from poor families with a medium educational level. Most of the members of our community are working in the mine, in the forest or they are taking care of household.
We are having the advantage of living in a healthy environment because our village is surrounded by forests but we have the disadvantage of being away from any source of culture (museums, theatres, expositions).
We hope that this project will bring us and our pupils the opportunity to exchange informations, make new friends, improve language skills, compare Romanian educational system with others from Europe and finally to enlarge our cultural horizon.
